The Enchanted by Rene Denfeld

I’ve been waiting to read this book since it first came out so when I finally got it, I pounced. Here is my review:

The novel is told from the viewpoint of an inmate who calls the stone prison he is in an enchanted place. He talks about the other inmates using fantasy imagery, all the whole weaving the stories of a kind warden, a fallen priest, and a lady who saves those who are meant to be executed.

I know that my review is vague and doesn’t give a lot. The thing is, if I say any more, I’m afraid that I will ruin the whole reading experience. I don’t know if this book was what I had expected it to be like when I first heard about it; certainly, it was interesting and well-written. Give it a chance and see what you think! You may end up really loving it – or not!

Happy reading ~
